We did it! 2023-2024 Oaklawn Leading Owner! I’ve first got to thank my trainers Kevin Martin, Jonas Gibson, Jorje Abrego/Brad Cox, Cipriano Contreras, Dan Ward, Matt Shirer, and Steve Asmussen/Darren Fleming. Without you and all your staff, none of these wins would be possible! To the exercise riders, grooms, hotwalkers, blacksmiths, vets, haulers, valets, outriders, and everyone else that makes the racetrack go round, you are appreciated! To each jockey that won for me, Cristian Torres, Francisco Arrieta, Manny Esquivel, Rocco Bowen, Harry Hernandez, Keith Asmussen, Florent Geroux, and Rafael Bejarano, I appreciate you giving it your all and helping the horse run to their ability. To all my family, friends, customers, and even people I don’t know that send me messages or come up to me saying you are cheering for me, thank you for always yelling loud and supporting me. Thanks to everybody who helps us on the parking lots that makes it easier when I go across the street to race. Thank you to all of y’all who helped keep me sane this season, especially when the race got tight. I’m proud to be able to win this one for Hot Springs, growing up less than a half mile from Oaklawn, this has been a bucket list achievement.
@TravisStone has simply MADE this race his own. He never makes a mistake, and with 20 horses in an all out war on dirt that is virtually impossible. He reads races sensationally and calls them with such integrity and excitement.
Class-dropping H. T. Xena up late to win R5 Monday @OaklawnRacing. Francisco Arrieta for @shirerracing, Jeremy Sussman, Baltimore Ravens OC Todd Monken & @Tenstrikeracing.
Dazzling Jan. 12 @OaklawnRacing debut winner Twenty to Park, under Francisco Arrieta, working 3F after the break Friday morning for @shirerracing & @StatonFlurry of Hot Springs.
