PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani met with Barbara Leaf, US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs at the State Department in Washington, DC. They emphasized the need to hold fair elections in order to promote stability and democracy in KRI. President Bafel Talabani stated that elections must be held on time and they must respond to the demands of the people to take democracy to a higher level.
