My Grandpa was born in 1901, got an MA from Harvard & was elected to Congress.
He wrote letters to his mom bi-weekly from 1920 to 1935.
I just found the letters
I never knew my grandpa, really. I was 5 when he passed and lived 3000 miles away. May have met him 5 times total.
Getting to know him now, and am smitten.

I have forgotten whether you are a newspaper reader or not. If not you may have missed learning that Lindbergh's son was kidnapped last Tuesday, a heinous crime. The child's picture has been posted in the papers here in the East and is a very handsome tot.
I still feel like getting out into the suburbs (or going home) unless something breaks in the next weeks. I can't stand contact with morons on all sides. I would much prefer my own quiet company in a hut in the country.
