Since my main is currently private, i would like to once again remind you that the browser extension "Shinigami Eyes" relies on fundamentally flawed probabilistic constructs, which also double to offer the extension author plausible deniability for malicious entries.
@__alula @Kanade552 This might well explain the issue better. At this point, considering there's people who don't want to be in the trans-friendly list and the author is dead set on ignoring them, hard to think it's being maintained in good faith.

@PLT_cheater@hipsterelectron I'm still inclined to think she's not the author, she has notoriously bad opsec, and it does seem hard to believe that she wouldn't boast at length about it
fwiw, when I'm talking about LB 'blowing her cover' I don't mean to say I'm accusing her of being the author, rather that this was one of the tells people used to work out a previous alt of hers
Here is the issue, if you're interested, it's not a new one, though I did comment on it earlier today in response to someone else. I don't think we've really learned anything here (LB's conduct is well-documented at this point), it's just bewildering. https://t.co/PNmCM7S2eQ
@hipsterelectron despite being green with envy and wanting to steal all of the glory for myself, i haven't tried to roll my own alternative and I don't think I'm likely to, I just don't think I'm capable of designing something that makes the right compromises
I've not got around to looking at it yet, I'll probably procrastinate for a while, but I have been reliably informed that both the upper and lower part bloom filters have been altered, which puts to rest our conspiracy theory about the author losing the source list.
it's been pointed out to me that version 1032 was released on 2022-12-05, but only for Chrome for some reason, this version was never published for Firefox. Again, it was not put into source control, the repo remains abandoned.
There is a new update! 1.0.31. It's also not in version control, incidentally. I've seen some diff summaries, it looks like it may change logic about bloom filters. More to follow, whenever I can be bothered!
I was given a dump of 99990 known remote fedi handles from an instance (I've committed to not publishing or sharing this list, for obvious reasons), we have determined that, of these, 435 URLs are marked as trans-friendly, and 8 as transphobic.
Most of these users (13) have twitter accounts which are also classified as transphobic by SE, at least 8 of which included their fedi handle on their twitter profile, and 7 of those had their twitter account marked in the upper-half bloom filter in 1031.
