I agree.Low number on a map doesn’t mean higher safety;especially for women.Low numbers on a map r nothing but an illusion if people don’t feel safe reporting..Acknowledging the gap b/w reported & actual crime is the only way to improve..Denial freezes the prblm at it's place..

I appeal to the government to introduce a rule under which only SC/ST professors would be allowed to teach SC/ST students, while General-category professors would teach General and OBC students.

Because if a professor is caught in a similar situation again while stopping a student from cheating in an exam, and the SC/ST Act is invoked against them, we cannot simply ignore the possibility. After the recent incident, OBC and General-category professors may also feel afraid to stop or reprimand SC/ST students for cheating.

As the daughter of a professor, I appeal that we should make rules not only to protect students’ rights but also to protect professors’ rights.

The right to safety belongs not only to students but to professors as well.

This is the only way to protect professors from a false SC/ST Act case.
