@RichardDawkins Pros: some scientists get to play god and stroke their phallic egos by making something happen that there's no reason to think we should make happen, but we possibly could.
Cons: who cares, it's probably fine.
@LinkedInLunat1c I like how the infographic makes a point of asking me to place it in the direction it was heading but it illustrates the exact opposite.
@colwight it's the nature of social networks, a shitty side of human nature they have perfected the art of exploiting for capitalist ends. Can't see any way this is ever going to get better, not while humans remain the dominant species.
@justalexoki yeah, also known as "eco leather" because nothing's more "eco" than glueing a layer of plastic flakes to a plastic mesh such that it falls apart after a year or two of normal use
I'm still confused by one thing: if you and your circlejerk of decadent rich friends are doing something you know is deplorable and massively incriminating, why would you document all of it in absolutely crystal clear detail? Is everyone involved actually a retard?
@HungaryBased He directly benefits from the EU and it doesn't seem likely he'd want to lose that teet he can illegally suck money out of, but it is a popular thing to promise voters yeah.
@melfeelswaggish@WomenReadWomen not demonic, this is human behaviour and chalking it up to some hypothetical higher power on par with a fairy tale villain is just copium. This was done by someone who's the same species as you.
@stueymaco You can't expect these people to comprehend the subtle difference between a toilet where only people you trust go, a toilet that realistically can't fit more than one person at a time so the risks are near zero, and an actual public toilet.
@kremplemaniac@HeadWarriorTWM attributing anything you don't like or understand to a fictional evil force is the type of thinking one might expect from a medieval peasant, have we really made no progress on that front?
