વિકાસની પીપુડીઓ તો વર્ષોથી સંભળાઈ રહી હતી, પણ હવે એ 'વિકાસના જીવંત દ્રશ્યો' પણ જરા આંખો ચોળીને જોઈ લો!

ગુજરાત સરકારના જે 'ડ્રીમ પ્રોજેક્ટ'ના ગુણગાન ગાઈને થાકતા નહોતા, એ અમદાવાદ-ધોલેરા એક્સપ્રેસ��ેનો પહેલા જ વરસાદમાં પત્તાના મહેલની જેમ કચડઘાણ નીકળી ગયો છે. બાવળા પોલીસ સ્ટેશનની હદમાં આવેલા પિલર નંબર ૧૯.૪ નજીક કરોડોના ખર્ચે બનેલો 'આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય કક્ષાનો' માર્ગ જમીનદોસ્ત થઈ ગયો છે. રસ્તો ધસી પડવો, ભયાનક તિરાડો પડવી અને વિરાટ ભુવાઓનું સામ્રાજ્ય સર્જાવું આ દ્રશ્યોએ પહેલા જ વરસાદે તંત્ર અને કોન્ટ્રાક્ટરોની મિલીભગતની પોલ ઉઘાડી પાડી દીધી છે.

ડ્રેનેજ સિસ્ટમ અને એન્જિનિયરિંગના નામે ઊભ�� કરાયેલા દાવાઓ પ્રથમ વરસાદના પાણીમાં જ ધોવાઈ ગયા છે. યોગ્ય નિકાલના અભાવે માટીનું ધોવાણ થતાં આખો રોડ બેસી ગયો. શું આ જ છે એ બુલંદ ગુણવત્તા, જે��ા આધારે 'સ્માર્ટ સિટી'ના સપના વેચવામાં આવતા હતા ? જો પ્રથમ વરસાદમાં આ એક્સપ્રેસવેની આ હાલત હોય, તો ચોમાસું પૂરું થતાં સુધીમાં અહીં ગાડીઓ ચાલશે કે હોડીઓ ?

જેન ઝીને અભિનંદન કે ભલે એ ગાંધીને ફોલ્ડરોની ગાળોથી ઓળખતા હશે, પણ હજુ આ દેશમાં ગાંધીનો જ ઈલાજ છે એ બતાવી દીધું. હ��ંસા કરવાની જરૂર નથી. ભલે દબાણ દમન થાય. માત્ર એક થઇને સત્યને પકડી રાખવાની નૈતિક તાકાત જોઈએ આ ગાંધીવિદ્યા હતી. જે આજે પણ અસરકારક નીવડે છે ! બોખા મોં નું સ્મિત એમને માર્ગે ચાલતા ખાદી ચરખા વગરના જીન્સ ચડ્ડીધારી યુવક યુવતીઓને જોઈ રાજી હશે. સમય રૈનાના સમયની જેન ઝીની ભાષા ને હ્યુમર ભલે ન પચે, આ જનરેશન કંઈ એન્ટી નેશનલ નથી. ( પોતાને ધર્મ સંસ્કૃતિના રક્ષક કહેતા ટપોરીટ્રોલિયાઓની ભાષા કેટલી હદે ગંદી ને હલકી હોય છે એના મને તો પુરાવા સહિતનો પાક્કો અનુભવ છે. પણ એમની દવાનો ડોઝ જેન ઝી તરફથી સામો પીવાનો આવ્યો એ કઠે છે એમને ! ) હા, આ પ્રોટેસ્ટ લાંબો ચાલ્યો હોત તો કોઈ પણ અનિચ્છનીય ઘટના બની શકત. ટોળું વિસ���તરે એમ દરેક પ્રકારના લોકો પોતાનો દાવ લેવા આવી જાય. એટલે માંગણીઓ સ્વીકારી આંદોલનનું સમાપન કર્યું એ સરકારે યોગ્ય નિર્ણય લીધો. પણ ધર્મેન્દ્ર પ્રધાનનું રાજીનામું એ કાયમી ઉકેલ નથી શિક્ષણના કે અન્ય પ્રશ્નોનો. શિક્ષણપદ્ધતિમાં આમૂલ પરિવર્તનની જરૂર ઇકોનોમિક રિફોર્મ્સ જેટલી છે એવું વર્ષોથી વિગતે લખ્યું કહ્યું છે. પણ એક મંત્રી બદલવાથી બધી નિમણૂકો થઈ હોય એ નથી બદલતી. આયન રેન્ડની ભાષામાં કહું તો સેકન્ડ ગ્રેડના નબળા માણસો જ્ઞાન, સંશોધન, આધુનિકતા ને તેજસ્વીતાને બદલે ઠેર ઠેર લાગવગથી, ખાયકીથી કે કોઈને કોઈ વિચાર પ્રચારની નિકટતાથી ગોઠવાઈ જાય અને ફર્સ્ટ રેટ માણસોનું શોષણ થા��, એમને અન્યાય થાય કે એમને ક્યાંય આગળ કરવાને બદલે ખૂણામાં ધકેલી દેવાય એ મુખ્ય સમસ્યા છે. શિક્ષણમાં ને આમ તો તમામ ક્ષેત્રે. જેન ઝી ને અન્ય સંપન્ન લોકો મોકો મળે તો વિદેશ જાય છે એનું એક કારણ આ પણ છે. કાયદાને બદલે ફાયદા મુજબ લોકો ઉચ્ચ આસને ગોઠવાઈ જાય, ત્યારે જ���તાના ફાલુદા થઈ જાય ! આ સુધારા તરફ ધ્યાન આપવાની જરૂર છે કે ખરા વિકસીત દેશોની જેમ "કોને ઓળખે છે" એના પર નહીં, પણ "શું કરી શકે છે" એના પર ભરતી કે નિમણૂક કરો. વધુ વીડિયોમાં.

We shouldnt have to do this. Maharashtra and India in general receives enough water for its population to thrive, not just survive.

Because we are infra starved, we have to just let this water flow into the Arabian sea for no reason and accept water scarcity and the economic stagnation that comes with it.

We must build more dams, canals, and all sorts of water infra so that not a drop flows into the Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal.
