Absolutely, physician salaries make up 6% of the healthcare costs in the US. Ignoring the other 94% is what the middlemen hope you do.

"Did you know you can reduce tokens used by 6% by jumping through a bunch of hoops, making your life worse and also making your agents dumber? Why isn't everyone doing this!"

- Half of current "startups"

A family got billed $340,000 for autism therapy, after they were promised $102/mo

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

@jakemintz I wish this was true!

[Zafar Mirzo @zafarmirzo]

For important tasks, it is better to form your own initial idea first and then bring in AI: let it expand the scope of your creativity rather than replace its starting point. Otherwise, as we create less and less on our own, we risk gradually weakening our own creative abilities.

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

So a family was told they'd be charged $102/mo but got instead a bill for $340,000. WHAT!! it doesn't stop there, apparently, the also billed the insurer incorrectly via many different LLCs at inflated rates ($1700 vs $400 contracted rate)

these are allegations that aren't proven in court, but still. WHAT

@dzhng free will + tokens = future

If two hospitals can find me to send separate bills, I would like them to be equally resourceful when it comes to sharing my medical records.

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

Did you know that cost of running a doctor's office has gone up 63%. But Medicare has increased what it pays doctors by just 10%!!!! As per AMA

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

@jungofthewon but also these larger companies can't move as fast as startups

Lets introduce ourselves:

I'm a former RCM Product Manager. I'm now building Converus that helps providers understand rules of reimbursement, and apply them for each case correctly. That way, every case is submitted compliantly with insurance rules, improving likelihood of getting paid!

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

Hi Wiki! We are building Converus. Converus helps healthcare companies understand reimbursement rules and apply them at scale. Rules such as payer requirements, CMS mandates, federal and state laws and provider contracts. Essentially, the context layer for RCM agents and automations.

Question for doctors doing peer to peers:
Do the reviewers you speak with every quote policy for denying requests?

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

@m0ldilocks this is so cool!! Does insurance cover this?

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

@chrissyfarr + complexity in navigating Medicare and insurance in general

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

@rishic78 @Nature @GoogleResearch @BIDMChealth @harvardmed This is pretty cool

[Shivang Vaidya @Shivangvaidya3]

just found out that ~$300M is paid to AMA every year just for using CPT codes. for context, CPT codes, describe the product, are how every doctor in the US submits a bill to insurance with
