The people closest to AI are making all of the same mistakes as the public health professionals who were closest to COVID. Taking a real risk and exaggerating it by orders of magnitude to, in part, justify the importance of their role as the people designated to stop it.
Likewise, their hysterics and lack of proportion might ruin the reputation of their field for a long time.
@jayyeh@JakeBlockchain@bot@openclaw Personally though I am relying on gbrain to be able to port over from one frontier model to another as new ones roll out, while performance on any single model family seems to deteriorate with time.
@jayyeh@JakeBlockchain@bot@openclaw It’s a bit like android vs iOS over the years. Android would let you endlessly customize & choose experiences. iOS makes that choice by default and minimizes the ability to change those defaults. Most retail customers prefer having to make fewer decisions & stick with defaults.
@jayyeh@JakeBlockchain@bot@openclaw The amount of setup required is itself significant. I’ve used Hermes for months. Grok Bot takes the installation and maintenance out of the picture along with monitoring and updating the model being used across bots. Add to that the bot computer feature is a significant upgrade.
Nassim Taleb: "Even if you have the edge, in the presence of the probability of ruin, you will be ruined. Even if you had the edge … If you play long enough. Unless you engage in strategies designed by traders and rediscovered by every single surviving trader, very similar to what we call the Kelly Criterion, which is to play with the house money.https://t.co/hTLRzLtlGm
America is rich with opportunity.
Its founding insistence on self-rule, individual liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is why our nation has grown in economic, military, and cultural might from its founding moment 250 years ago.
America’s manifest destiny is to grow and evolve. The nation that Lincoln fought to unite does not resemble the one we find today. The America of tomorrow will build upon this trajectory of expansion, hope, and independence.
Despite our flag being the most common on the planet, we will add more stars to it. We will include more cultures and people under our tent. We will have more arguments and viewpoints and perspectives to integrate into some coherent, muscular whole.
What unites Americans is the optimism and spirit of progress, the restlessness that comes from knowing we can always be better and do more. That growth takes energy, commitment, and triumphs big and small.
Americans are winners because they’re competitors. They’re hardworking. They see the divine grace in a productive week, the charity that stems from generating good fortune rather than hoping for it. People come to this country TO WORK and to make their lives and communities richer for it. Our futures are built on nights and weekends—a feature, not a bug.
The American project is one that will continue to unfurl and evolve well beyond our shores and into the heavens. Not because we wrote laws to bind our actions but because we wrote laws to unleash our creative forces.
Honor today’s creators as we honor our founding fathers. Honor the service men and women who sacrifice to protect our way of life. Honor the system that protects our right to voice our individual truths, that they might serve this great republic and point us to its higher forms. Honor the simple reality that our nation is as deeply flawed as its citizenry and just as deeply capable to improve.
America’s tale is eternally incomplete. What unites us is the chance to write the next chapter. May we earn another 250 years of the greatest story yet untold.
God bless this country and our journey ahead. 🇺🇸
I can’t stop thinking about this post. If you do one thing today, I encourage you to give it a thoughtful, thorough read…
And then commit to never living your life this way. Life has wasted success on the people described in this post.
It really is completely pathetic. They say that comparison is the thief of joy - look no further than this post for validation it is indeed true.
On their deathbed they will realize they have lived their life completely wrong. Don’t let it be you.
Amazon’s Durability
Amazon looked behind in AI in the training era, but is well place in the inference era, thanks to its continued investment in the long-term.

Superwhisper's next update might be too powerful to release publicly.
The new voice model is so fast at transcription it started finishing sentences users hadn't thought of yet...
We even put it in a sandbox and it dictated its way out.
It also identified a flaw in the English language that had gone unnoticed for 600 years. Linguists have been informed.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are withholding the update until further notice.
Sincerely,
The Superwhisper Team
Holy shit... your AI agent can now make real phone calls.
It's called ClawdTalk and it gives any Clawdbot or OpenClaw agent an actual phone number.
Not browser audio. Not a chatbot. Real calls over real telephony infrastructure.
Sub-200ms latency.
Here's why this changes everything: 🧵
When I was younger I assumed everyone wanted everything to be more efficient. That iteration and improvement was something all people could get behind. As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized this is not the case and my mistake was a core error in my mental model of the world and its institutions. Improvement has to be fought for. Status quo is by far the most popular position.
