In the Pi Launchpad model, projects issue tokens as tools to acquire users for their applications and integrate those tokens directly into product functionality, such as access, payments, rewards, and governance.
Instead of being taken by the issuing project, the proceeds of Pi from their token launch go to a liquidity pool with the ecosystem token, which bootstraps a healthy liquidity foundation from the start.
For the SLICE test launch on Testnet, this results in a liquidity pool containing SLICE and Test-Pi. In addition to matching individual buyers and sellers through a traditional decentralized order book on the Pi DEX, the pool uses an automated market maker algorithm to calculate swaps based on the amounts of both assets it currently holds.

@PiCoreTeam Now, the community is looking for transparency, clear communication, and concrete actions to strengthen the ecosystem and restore confidence. Please listen to the voices of your Pioneers and provide meaningful updates.
The strength of Pi Network has always been its community.
@PiCoreTeam Dear Pi Core Team,
As the Pi price continues to fall, millions of Pioneers are feeling disappointed and discouraged. We have supported this project for years, completed KYC, and believed in the vision of Pi Network.
Pi Network and OpenMind’s proof-of-concept project, where OpenMind’s AI models can run on Pi Node infrastructure, explores the capability of Pi’s global network of nodes to support decentralized AI training and computing tasks.
By transforming unused computing power into productive work, this platform-level utility (1) enables AI products to source and fulfill their computation demands from Pi Nodes by paying Node runners in Pi, and (2) allows Pi Node runners to opt in to earn Pi from an additional Node utility, apart from Node mining rewards.
