Sources tell @SeifertESPN and I that the NFL Referee's Assocation voted to pass the new collective bargaining agreement today. Coaches, fans, players, can relax. There will be no replacement officials.
Philadelphia reworked Zack Baun's contract by turning 2028 into a real contract year to facilitate a Post-June 1 release at the start of the 2028 league year.

After 4 seasons on staff w/the #Eagles, Ben Ijalana is seeking new opportunities in scouting. A former #NFL OL (#Colts, #Jets, #Jaguars), Ben roamed the NE for PHI for 3 seasons. He also has prior scouting experience w/the #Patriots.
Statement from #Eagles cap/contract expert Bryce Johnston, who is heading to the Falcons in an executive role:
“Before moving on to a new challenge in Atlanta, I wanted to take this time to thank Jeffrey Lurie, Howie Roseman and Don Smolenski for the opportunity they gave me over the past 10 years. The high level of success achieved by the organization begins with their commitment to pursuing every possible competitive advantage, and I greatly appreciate the trust they placed in me to contribute to that philosophy.
“I feel very fortunate to have been able to work closely with and learn from Howie and, now, be in a position to take those insights with me as I move forward. The organization is filled with first class people who perform their jobs at an extremely high level, and I am very proud of everything that we accomplished together.
“The aspect of this experience that I have valued the most is the time spent and relationships built with current and former colleagues. There are too many to list, but in particular, I would like to thank Jake Rosenberg for making this opportunity a reality and mentoring me as I began my career in the NFL. It took this rare opportunity to work with some of those same former colleagues to even consider moving on. Being an Eagle meant a lot to me, and I will look back at my tenure in Philadelphia as a special time in my life. Go Birds.”
Could not be more excited for Bryce! So many of us remember him as a high school kid on WIP explaining the cap to the masses. Best wishes in Atlanta, @NFLCapAnalytics!
#Falcons have hired #Eagles exec Bryce Johnston as SVP of Football Adminstration/Senior Personnel Executive. Johnston will lead salary-cap strategy, serve as lead contract negotiator and be a key advisor to Ian Cunningham and Matt Ryan for roster building and long-term strategy.
Clubs that are not “on the clock” may have discussions with the representative of one or more draft-eligible players not yet selected (or discussion with the players themselves) regarding the player’s interest in playing in the League, playing with a particular club or type of club, the player’s health, or other such non-financial matters, so long as these discussions do not interfere with discussions between a player and the club that is “on the clock”.
If more NFL executives complain about this, perhaps teams would be better suited to get the CBA to loosen restrictions on the rookie wage scale and the waiting period after graduating high school...
