@QuenanChristia1 Yes, exactly! Also you only lose Hope points up to what you have available so if you have 2 Hope points and the Chant die was at 4 when it ends then you just lose those 2 Hope points.

@QuenanChristia1 Basically the idea is to have ways of manipulating the Duality Dice to keep getting Hope outcomes as long as possible as a sort of combo counter. If the dice outcome is with Fear then basically that combo breaks and you have to start over.

@QuenanChristia1 As long as an attack roll is with Hope the Chant keeps going, even on fail with Hope. If you roll with Fear (success or fail) the die gets removed, which would remove your bonus and end that chant. You can start the chant over though so long as you have a Hope point to spend

@PlaneToSpain With items it is similar to how people end up utilizing D&D’s item rarity.
Daggerhear’s tiers are a generalized way to categorize lots of things so that they match somewhat close to the party’s expected power level. It can be stuff like weapons, enemies, even locations or hazards
