Oh I also forgot to mention that I just passed my 10 year anniversary working at Mojang and thus on Minecraft!
It was in February 😅
It doesn't feel like 10 years. Gosh. I was a teenager when I started modding Minecraft and now I'm 30. Oh dear. Time is escaping!
I honestly cannot believe that Putin has actually gone to war with Ukraine - completely senseless and I hope it bodes badly for him. My words can't do anything, but please everyone in Ukraine stay safe.
What's happening today is not okay - and as such it is understandable if you also don't feel okay today.
Be there for yourself, and be there for those close to you. Remember that at the end of the day, we are all people. Be there for each other. ❤️🇺🇦

Considering that Ancient Cities spawn as rarely as woodland mansions but underground, I think they need way better loot. One idea is to make some enchanted books like the ones in strongholds. It's a lot more fun when you can choose your enchantments from a single book!
Mark your calendars, and start practising your awestruck gasps: Caves & Cliffs: Part II releases in all its natural splendour on November 30th!

Story of my day:
1: Grab a bug from the list
2: Try to solve it
3: Realize that I don't know how to fix it or it is too risky / icky to fix this now during pre-release
4: Write down what I learned about the bug, for whenever we do fix it
5: Goto 1
What's the story of your day?
Fixing a Minecraft bug without creating new bugs is surprisingly hard. Even seemingly small fixes often have side effects that are hard to predict or test for.
