@Mister_Argonaut@Devon_Eriksen_ The recruiter missing his legs and other maimed veterans is one of the subtle things in both the film and book I adore, if only because they really hammer home how horrific war could be and essentially work as an in-universe filter for those with second thoughts of signing up.
@JJCTTRPG But then again I am the kind of asshole who once thought of a trap door spider mine field similar to the scene in Mel Gibson's Apocalypto where they were throwing spears at escaped prisoners and that seemed a bit too far.
@JJCTTRPG I don't see the Drow keeping spiders as companions similar to dogs, but I could 100% see them keeping them as 'pets' in the same way one would keep animals for the Bestiarii to fight in the colosseum. It's more sporting if they think they have a fighting chance.
@DungeonNoir It really was. They do have in-universe explanations dating back to Cataclysm as to why the Elves have arcane magicks again ( Highborne rejoining the more Druidic parts of their society ) but it still felt kind of flat.
@skepticalone44@memeslich Vanilla was wild because of how easily that stunt would lead to a wipe but Leeroy was in the right to lock the hell in and go for it,
@Grimedark I'd play IG if GW could be assed to do more than just Cadians or Krieg again officially. Vostroyan Firstborn being print on demand is nice but where the fuck are Tallarn, Armageddon, Atillan, Valhallans, and even the Catachans James.
@memeslich Net negative if only because the performances of the cast and Mr. Mercer lead to an unrealistic expectation for how your table will play out. That and speaking from personal bias don't really... care for any of their campaigns? If that makes sense,
@DamndestBastard I'm more worried because while I appreciate Charybdis being a whirlpool and not the 1997 aquatic Sarlacc... why the hell are there silver armored versions of The Juggernaut and why is there Batman in Ancient Greece?
@YoDanno Still waiting on being able to conjure up a great ball of flame with some sulfur and guano. Would make life a lot more fun and interesting, to say the least.
@theWellRedMage Reminds me a bit of Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy turning a 300 and some odd page book into... three films. More power to the people who enjoy FF7R but reducing the value to hours spent playing it is silly.
