not good btw, but i think the separation is important specifically BECAUSE there is a lot of anti-indigenous racism against youkai that gets brushed aside a lot. like sara being apart of a species that is entirely indigenous to inazuma and still having people ignore that
her voice line was about kokomi needing to take responsibility for watatsumi destroying a shrine though? i think this is more about open religious-based destruction, not the retaliation against her rule.
hoyo shows a theme, whether good or not, that watatsumi is still upset with ei for killing orobashi. this is separate from her oppressive rule and more of a cultural issue, the only reason ei killed orobashi was because he attacked her land. it’s more complex than just one thing
