Now LOP @Sunil_SharmaBJP has come to the rescue of PDP. Old game.

At a time when Mehbooba Ji is under fire for towing what is essentially a BJP line by justifying use of force in Kashmir, Sunil Ji suddenly remembers that PDP is separatist, which it never was.

Sunil Sharma is intelligent enough to understand that such statements from BJP will help PDP in Kashmir. What a shame. Open collaboration.

The actions of the J & K police after yesterday’s dastardly attack will do more harm.

You cannot summon and arrest thousands of people because their name is included in the OGW list.

The list is decades old. Most of these people are old, well into their seventies.

There is a concept of reintegration in conflict situations. People who have taken to arms are eventually encouraged and facilitated to reintegrate with the society.

I don’t agree with the concept of mass arrests. It looks more like community punishment.

And more importantly this list is not divine. There are many names in there which are there because of political affiliations inserted at the behest rulers in the past.

Please have a relook. We live amongst people here and are subject to questions. And which law of our country justifies this community punishment. It is patently illegal.

Peoples Conference Expresses Grief Over Cloudburst Devastation in Rajouri, Poonch; Seeks Intensified Rescue Operations

Demands Compensation, Rehabilitation Package for Flood-Hit Families

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference on Sunday expressed deep grief and anguish over the loss of precious lives and widespread devastation caused by recent cloudbursts and flash floods across various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, describing the calamity as a matter of grave concern requiring immediate and sustained administrative attention.

In a statement issued here, a party spokesperson said the JKPC extends heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in the tragedy, and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the disaster.

"This is an hour of immense grief for our people, especially for the communities of Rajouri and Poonch, who have borne the brunt of this calamity. The devastation wrought by the cloudbursts and flash floods has shattered homes and hopes alike and it is our collective responsibility to stand by the affected families in this hour of need," the spokesperson said.

The party urged the administration to intensify rescue and relief operations on a war footing in Rajouri and Poonch, with particular emphasis on reaching remote, hilly and inaccessible villages where communication and connectivity have been severely disrupted.

It further urged authorities to ensure the timely and safe evacuation of residents in vulnerable and flood-prone localities of these two districts, so as to avert any further loss of life.

The spokesperson said essential assistance, including food, clean drinking water, shelter, medical aid and other basic necessities, must be provided without delay to all affected families in Rajouri and Poonch.

Emphasising the need for a fair and transparent process going forward, JKPC demanded that the government carry out an impartial and comprehensive assessment of the damage caused to houses, crops, livestock and other property in Rajouri, Poonch and adjoining areas.

Martyrdom Is a Religious Concept, Not Political': Sajad Lone Targets NC, PDP over Politics Aroun July 13 Martyrs

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara @sajadlone on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over their observance of the July 13 Martyrs' Day, questioning what he described as the "politicisation" of the sacrifices of those killed in 1931 and alleging inconsistency in their political conduct.

Addressing a press conference, Lone said the July 13 martyrs occupy a deeply significant place in the collective memory of Muslims, asserting that martyrdom is fundamentally a religious concept rather than a political one.

Referring to the 1931 killings, he said the official historical narrative holds the Maharaja's forces responsible for their deaths, but questioned why successive governments led by the NC and PDP later accommodated descendants of the erstwhile Dogra royal family in positions of power.

Lone alleged that while political leaders publicly pay tribute to the July 13 martyrs, their political decisions have contradicted the ideals they claim to uphold. He also dismissed recent claims of restrictions on political leaders visiting the Martyrs' Graveyard, describing them as "drama" and questioning the circumstances surrounding their visits and the media coverage they received.

The Peoples Conference chief further raised questions over what he termed the selective recognition of victims of violence in Jammu and Kashmir, asking why those killed during the tenures of the NC and PDP governments are not accorded the same status or remembrance.

He said society must reflect on the suffering endured by the families of those who lost their lives and argued that the emotional pain of the victims' relatives is intensified when those they hold politically responsible participate in commemorative events.

Lone maintained that the debate over remembrance should be guided by sincerity and accountability rather than political symbolism, urging people to reflect on what he described as the moral responsibility owed to the families of those who lost their lives.

IN DEFENCE OF THE INSTITUTION OF MLA

My thanks to party colleagues who made today’s protest a success. We will do what it takes to ensure that the institution of MLA is not disempowered or humiliated.

Losing with grace is perhaps the best indicator of how dignified is the party or the person that has lost.

We are yet to see that dignity or grace. If anything almost on a daily basis attempts are made to negate the people’s verdict.

This is another version of 1987 rigging. This is the administrative version of stealing an election.

So this is the bombshell threatened by CM sahib. Tourist to the core. A trip to the scenic and beautiful Dachigam.

Dachigam is actually symbolic for today’s congregation. It is secluded, isolated, entry is restricted. That actually sums up state of the present government. Aloof, secluded, isolated and entry restricted.

A little bird told me. The MLAs have been shifted into the Wild Life area of Dachigam. And an ultimatum will be served. They will be told, “ Fall in Line” or else stay back and provide company to inhabitants of the Zoo.

I along with my colleagues at the @JKPCOfficial were to go to the Martyrs graveyard today to offer Fateh for my father Abdul Gani Lone, who was martyred 22 years back on the 21st of May by terrorists.

But the police came early morning and informed me that I have been placed under house arrest.

We had a similar gathering at the Handwara office. This office has also been put out of bounds by the police.

A very Shocking sad news has emerged from Kenyal Tarathpora. A 16 year old boy Danish Bashir Lone of Kenyal, tragically lost his life due to an electrocution at Malikpora.
I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Danish Bashir and pray that Almighty Allah grants them strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and bestow upon him the highest place in Jannah. Aameen.

The government promised creation of one lakh new jobs for the youth in their manifesto.

And now rubbing salt into the wounds of those who voted for them, it has now banned the creation of new posts.

Even posts that have remained vacant for two years will be surrendered.

This government will go down in history as one the most dishonest government ever elected. Lies, lies and lies. Nothing else. They have been lying through their teeth.
