Bonalu, the vibrant and traditional festival of Telangana, commenced today with devotion and cultural fervour. The Ashada Bonalu festivities began with the offering of the first Bonam to Sri Golkonda Jagadamba Mahankali Ammavaru sets the tone for the month-long celebrations across the region.
Mr.C.V. Anand, IPS, Director General and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, reviewed the security arrangements from Langar House to Golkonda Fort.He trekked up the fort, and later had darshan of the deity. In view of the large public gathering, comprehensive bandobust measures have been implemented, including intensified surveillance to curb theft-related offences, CCTVs, traffic management and deployment of SHE Teams. Instructions have been issued to ensure the smooth conduct of festivities without public inconvenience.
Today, City Police Commissioner Sri C.V. Anand, IPS, interacted with probationary SIs who will soon be joining Hyderabad City Police.With words rooted in experience and purpose,CP Anand emphasised upon young officers to stay tech-savvy, passionate, and work in all wings of the department for a holistic understanding of police operations.
“What truly matters is honesty, upholding integrity amid challenges, pressures and building strong community ties,” he said.
He encouraged them to maintain their health, take on challenging Law & Order roles in the first two years, and conveyed his best wishes.
