@mark_tehan@clare_eliza@Annelise30 It’s bad isn’t it?! It feels wrong to step over someone on the floor where the risk of leaving them surely outweighs the risk of lifting them if the wait is likely to be lengthy
@sobrox Im not saying that it’s not #workingtogether. The reason we can’t get an ambulance is because there aren’t enough and they are triaged to the highest need but unless people realise the state of the NHS, they’re going to keep voting for the same clowns they’ve always done
@sobrox I appreciate the process around triage but this week in wales, my patients who needed to go to hospital and had no means of getting there were not able to get any form of emergency transport via the ambulance service. The public should know about that.
@clare_eliza@Annelise30 It’s all just mental isn’t it?! I think there needs to be some policy of picking these older people who fall in a care home up and “risking” it though to be honest. 12-24 hours on a floor waiting whilst people walk over them. It feels wrong
@Annelise30@clare_eliza 999 are refusing even taking the information of the patient needing an ambulance 99% of the time. Now it’s “get in the car-something happens, stop and call 999” whilst I hope to myself they get there. None of this is ok
@EdanStarforth@krishnakolidoc@Parody_RCGP It’s just a waste of everyone’s time. I had someone in this week who had an app for surgery in 9 days and wanted me to write to make sure it happens as he hadn’t had it confirmed from the booking office 🤷🏻♀️
@EdanStarforth@krishnakolidoc@Parody_RCGP Should practices just come up with a blanket “no” to requests to see a GP for an expedite letter. Of course, appointment if they feel worsening symptoms or changes, but a statement of “we won’t do this” just for expedite with no change?
@JanetWilliams99@theresecoffey@Emma4facs I don’t understand what the number of days I choose to work to maintain my mental health and avoid burn out has got to do with other people though? GP’s only get paid for the days worked so what’s that got to do with anyone?
@trace16@DrNeenaJha Home visits. In my locality paramedics will see home visits but this is clearly considered inferior (by your tweet). Hard to know how to get the balance right.
@trace16@DrNeenaJha I can see that this must be really frustrating. It’s really hard to get the balance right. It take approx 40 mins to go and see a patient at home. That’s 4 appointments in surgery. When being shouted at that pts are not being seen, it makes it hard to balance out how to deliver…
@Dave_Nash_ @BMA_JuniorDocs Have you watched “this is going to hurt” on the BBC? Would really recommend it to get some insight into what happens as a junior dr. Maybe then you’d appreciate that the job really does break people. Strong people that are great at their jobs.
