I have been following a few in my small school district in CA. El Segundo Unified. One case is likely to settle as I am told… a female teacher who carried on an affair with a 7th grade boy. The case goes back about 20 years. The affair was common knowledge according to the students I spoke to who knew him. Faculty and District looked the other way. She is still employed in an administrative role and her kids still attend school in the district. She was recently allowed to work with the kids as a parent docent for a high school drama production which outraged the few that are paying attention. She will likely face no consequences with the district / tax payers footing the bill. The system is broken! I believe of the few cases we see there are 100X more that are covered over by payoffs. And we are the ones who write the checks.
