Unpopular opinion: "Should I migrate to Shopify?" is the wrong question.
Better question: "What business outcome am I trying to enable?"
Different needs call for different solutions. We broke down all six @webflow ecomm to @Shopify migration methods in our latest blog:

Mobile commerce jumped to $2.51 trillion in 2025 — up 21.25% from last year.
People are buying everything on their phones. Mattresses. Enterprise software. Everything.
Meanwhile:
• E-commerce growing at 18.9% annually
• Traditional web design increasingly commoditized
• Margins shrinking on standard website projects
Brands investing in e-commerce aren't looking for template solutions. They need differentiation. They need stores that feel like their brand, not like everyone else's @Shopify theme.
This is where Webflow's design capabilities create natural advantages. The platform has become the go-to for unique, on-brand experiences that help businesses stand out.
For designers interested in accessing this growing segment: headless commerce now makes it possible to bring @webflow's design flexibility to fully functional stores without technical compromise.
The opportunity exists for those curious enough to explore it.
🎉 Major update alert! @shopyflow now supports Shopify metafield syncing to Webflow CMS!
✅ Visual field mapping interface
✅ Intelligent type validation
✅ Auto-sync
✅ Works directly within Webflow Designer
You no longer need to manually enter custom @Shopify data into @webflow CMS. Everything stays in sync in real-time.
E-commerce projects typically command different pricing than traditional websites, often $25K-$50K compared to $8K-$15K for standard sites.
The reason isn't just complexity. It's about what the work delivers.
E-commerce projects generate revenue from day one. Traditional websites support marketing efforts. Different value delivery = different pricing power.
Here's what makes this relevant for design-focused agencies:
The skills that create award-winning @webflow sites – visual hierarchy, user flow design, on-brand storytelling – directly translate to commerce outcomes. A well-designed product page isn't just aesthetically pleasing, it's a revenue-generating asset.
The Webflow community has spent years proving they can create memorable digital experiences. That same design sophistication is exactly what e-commerce brands are willing to invest in.
The technical complexity that used to separate beautiful design from functional commerce? Headless @Shopify solved it.
The tools exist now for designers interested in exploring this space.
The e-commerce market hit $6.56 trillion in 2025.
By 2028? $8.09 trillion. That's 18.9% annual growth.
Scroll through @awwwards. lately? A significant portion of those award-winning sites are built with @webflow. The platform has become synonymous with the kind of memorable, on-brand experiences that make people actually stop and pay attention.
Here's the interesting part: brands building e-commerce stores are looking for exactly this, the kind of design that stops scrolls in crowded markets. But most e-commerce solutions optimize for functionality over design sophistication.
We built Shopyflow because the best design tool and the best e-commerce platform should work together seamlessly. And they finally do.
For Webflow designers curious about commerce projects: the technical barriers that used to separate beautiful design from functional stores have essentially dissolved with headless @Shopify architecture.

Time to tackle something challenging 💪
Shopify → Webflow CMS metafield sync feature is something I’ve been postponing for a while due to its complexity 😅 But I think users have waited long enough.
The most challenging part will be giving the user the flexibility of mapping any (almost) Shopify metafield to the Webflow CMS fields we have. Let's see how it's going to turn out.
The Webflow app UI is mostly ready, aside from a few style tweaks. I am again using Shopify Admin & Storefront APIs to pull in metafield data and keep everything in auto-sync.
Easily sync your Shopify store with Webflow using @shopyflow — bring in products, variants, and filters in minutes, then design it your way.

💫 Webflow + Spline + Shopify + Shopyflow
This is the kind of work that shows what’s possible when creative Webflow developers explore the Shopify space. Shopyflow removes the barrier between design and commerce, letting you build immersive storefronts in Webflow using great tools like @splinetool.
I think it’s a huge opportunity for @webflow pros. You don’t need to learn @Shopify liquid or JS frameworks. If you’ve been wanting to do more with your skills, this might be the time.
