@philofthemoore Totally agree, don’t think RND looked down his line much last night. Midfield did not show it was two divisions higher than theirs, really concerning for me.

Probably my favourite performance yesterday, Kitching showed shades of JOC with his involvement high up the pitch (look at that heatmap!). Looks comfortable with the ball at his feet, hoping a back 5 can really play to his strengths! #sufc #twitterblades

By far our best performance this season. New formation looks good, the left-hand side of the pass network shows this (look at McCallum’s trampoline headers!!). Blaster clearly learning on the job with a new position, but plenty to like about that performance. #sufc #twitterblades

Summary of the game in possession, looking at these pass networks highlights an incredibly poor performance from Riedewald imo. A CM managing to create only one link with a teammate is pretty impressive. Zero shape from us in possession compared to Norwich. #sufc #twitterblades

@meds89 We have this season, I’ve interpreted it as a 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 and Bamford’s dropping quite deep at times. We’re massively compensating for selling all our creative players (Hamer/O’Hare/Brooks), but we played hoofball today and he didn’t win much, hence the isolation on the plot!

@SouthernCanary_ It felt like a personnel/quality issue rather than tactical unfortunately - Choudury (8) not a natural RB, doesn’t get forward to support Donovan (11) in attack. Bamford (45) dropping deep often ends up behind the play when 11 had the ball so no outlet for him there either.

A really tough watch - a step up in opposition quality today and we look miles off it.

Enjoyable game for the neutral, but really poor control of the tempo against a promoted side. Tight on the xG front until PB's tap-in. But just wide open defensively at times, look how many shots we allowed centrally inside 12 yards! Cooper deserved MotM. #sufc #twitterblades

Really enjoyed that Donovan performance tonight, great work rate and not afraid to keep having a go playing it forward despite it not coming off every time. Excited to see if he can add consistency to that level of performance! #sufc #twitterblades
