The new Police Commissioner Jeff Skobin asked Chief McDonnell if he saw the video of the LAPD shooting at @ShotOn35mm. I know from internal LAPD sources that McDonnell has, in fact, seen the video.

When I asked the spokesperson if Caruso could name any prominent Democrats that were at the private event that rougly 100 people attended, I was given three names: Mark Cuban, Eric Schmidt, and Ari Emmanuel.
A staff member for Gabby Giffords tells me that Giffords wasn't at this event with Caruso, Tucker Carlson, Tulsi Gabbard, and Kevin McCarthy. In fact, she wasn't even in L.A. that evening.
A Caruso spokesperson told me: "There were a lot of people there and Rick was mistaken."
We need less angry rhetoric and more problem-solving; otherwise, we're never going to be able to fix what ails us as a city, state, and nation.
This past week, I joined the All-In Conference and was then invited to join a dinner group with around 100 people representing voices across the political spectrum, from Democrats like me and Gabby Giffords to Republicans and independents.
Conversation, listening, and breaking bread matter, and it's what real leaders need to do if we want to move forward.
I have always done so and always will.
