Notice Towa’s expression.
Not smiling. Not showing what he did as something noteworthy.
He knowingly travelled in the wrong direction…
Somehow, that gets me, how matter-of-fact he is about it.

Towa is kind, we know that! But also reserved.
Would he really go three stations out of his way for just anyone?
Well, Mitsuki isn’t just any random girl anymore…
And she is already in the Elite Four little circle, his circle!
So, maybe he is just being considerate?
Probably 🤔
It’s not romantic… not yet
but hmmm…🤔
But hey, its Towa, he never makes a big deal about it.

Did Anashin quietly plant the seeds this early?
On a reread, these little moments somehow feel so much more meaningful in hindsight 😊

I love these little Towa-Mitsuki moments…

Mitsuki is almost swallowed by the crowd…
Towa notices - and pulls her back.
She drops her phone… he notices that too.

And then of course Rui’s prank 😂
Towa suddenly finds himself on Mitsuki’s lock screen…
And before Mitsuki understands what’s happened, Towa is already blushing.

Mitsuki is completely flustered… 🫨
Towa looks almost confused himself…
and after that already awkward train ride too!

But what I love is the contrast Anashin draws their embarrassment.
Mitsuki’s is impossible to miss. Bright red! Wide eyes.
Towa’s is more hidden- slight blush, tiny sweat drop and the way he looks away 😂

…and yet he doesn’t tease her.
He doesn’t make her explain.
He simply lets the moment pass.
Well, that’s just Towa. 😊
