@DerbyshireRPU Crazy stretch of road. People always overtaking into oncoming traffic. Lost count of the number of parked cars hit over the last couple of years by bad driving. If ever a road needed traffic calming measures putting in place.
At a time when we're rethinking many past assumptions, this is a unique opportunity to embrace cycling as an integral form of transport. Cities need more resilient, equitable mobility—not just to weather the current storm, but to prepare for future crises. https://t.co/L7PUQ0PPIk
And it turns out just 9% want to go back to the ‘normal’ we had before.
As we emerge, from this crisis, we can redefine normal. We can make it something sustainable, affordable and wonderful.
Would be great to see @StockportMBC introduce measures like this to help keep people safe during their socially distanced exercise from people racing their cars on the empty roads.
🚶 Lockdown is making us all realise how much public space is given over to individual car use rather than #walking & #cycling.

@peaksandpuddles They just need to get rid of the 4 parking spots on Town st now outside the Royal Scot that always create traffic flow problems and Marple bridge would be a slightly more pleasant place to visit/ pass through.
So, weekend coming up, weather looks nice, if you’re going to ride a bike...
Once a day
Close to home
AT LEAST 2m away from anyone else.
Don’t even think about going out with anyone You don’t live with.
We need exercise to get through this and stay healthy. Don’t abuse it 👍
