At the end of the day, the major issue is a lot of fic writers simply do NOT respect writing as a skill and craft one must practice to become good at, and think it's just a regular hobby one can pick up and be good at automatically because you "put your heart and soul into it."

There’s a fic that’s popular and many people rec it as their favourite, yet I’ve tried twice to read it and couldn’t get through it because I found it repetitive 1/2
