My dad & I spent hours today sitting by our window looking a few feet out. We saw the whole thing: momma made her shallow nest, then packed it up bc it was about to rain, then came back & plopped her body into the hole. I knew it was time. So magical 😍. Now we watch them grow🤞

I followed this pod (they swam, I walked) from Sutro Baths to the Golden Gate Bridge. So fun to guess where in that huge ocean they’d pop out of next! 🐬🐬 in quad III, then 🐬🐬 in quad IV. I went from 9x to 0.5x - next time I need to bring my binoculars. What a zoomed out view!

Every once in a while, I encounter this at a grocery store: $5.99 for 1 vs $5.94 for 2. Why would anyone NOT buy 2 instead of 1? Why is 1 more $ than 2? I must be missing some economics / marketing tactic, but now my nephew gets 12 ice cream sandwiches.

This morning, I made breakfast for 85 middle schoolers. But wait! It wasn’t breakfast for the belly, it was breakfast for the brain.

Key ingredients for curiosity: motor, battery, brush, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, and double sided tape. I call this dish The #LancerBot 🤖
