आज पुण्याच्या विकासात आणखी एक महत्त्वपूर्ण अध्याय जोडणाऱ्या बजाज फिनसर्व्ह कॅम्पसच्या भूमिपूजन समारंभाला मुख्यमंत्री मा. देवेंद्रजी फडणवीस यांच्या समवेत उपस्थित राहून बजाज फिनसर्व्ह परिवाराचं मनापासून अभिनंदन केलं.

यावेळी बजाज समूहाच्या शंभर वर्षांच्या गौरवशाली प्रवासाचा आणि महाराष्ट्राच्या विकासातील योगदानाचा आवर्जून उल्लेख करत, बदलत्या काळानुसार तंत्रज्ञान आणि वित्तीय सेवांमध्ये बजाज फिनसर्व्हची सुरू असलेली वाटचाल कौतुकास्पद असल्याचं नमूद केलं.

पवार आणि बजाज कुटुंबीयांचे गेल्या अनेक वर्षांपासून असलेले स्नेहाचे आणि जिव्हाळ्याचे संबंध, तसंच आदरणीय अजितदादा आणि बजाज कुटुंबीयांचे आत्मीय संबंध आवर्जून नमूद केले. बारामतीतील विद्या प्रतिष्ठानच्या शैक्षणिक कार्यासाठी बजाज समूहानं CSRच्या माध्यमातून केलेल्या मोलाच्या सहकार्याबद्दल कृतज्ञता व्यक्त केली.

महाराष्ट्र शासन आणि बजाज फिनसर्व्ह यांच्यातील सहा हजार कोटींच्या करारामुळे गुंतवणूक, रोजगारनिर्मिती आणि नव्या संधींना मिळणारी चालना याबाबतही भावना व्यक्त केल्या.

आज भूमिपूजन होत असलेला नवा कॅम्पस भविष्यदृष्टीचं प्रतीक असून, विविध कंपन्यांचं कार्य एकत्रितपणे पुढे नेण्यासोबतच शाश्वतता, ऊर्जा कार्यक्षमता आणि पर्यावरणपूरक विकासाला प्राधान्य देण्यात येत असल्याचं नमूद केलं. अपारंपरिक ऊर्जा, जलसंवर्धन, पाण्याचा पुनर्वापर, पावसाच्या पाण्याचं संकलन आणि हरित परिसर या संकल्पनांवर आधारित कॅम्पसची उभारणी स्वागतार्ह असल्याचं सांगितलं.

पुणे हे ज्ञान, तंत्रज्ञान, उद्योग आणि नवोन्मेषाचं प्रमुख केंद्र असून, AI, FinTech, Data Analytics आणि Digital Financial Services यांसारख्या क्षेत्रांमध्ये तरुणांसाठी मोठ्या संधी निर्माण होत आहेत. त्यामुळे हा आधुनिक, भविष्याभिमुख कॅम्पस पुण्याच्या ज्ञानाधारित अर्थव्यवस्थेला आणखी बळकटी देईल, असा विश्वास व्यक्त केला.

पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी साहेबांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली भारत विकसित राष्ट्राच्या दिशेनं वाटचाल करत असून, या विकासप्रवासात महाराष्ट्राची भूमिका अत्यंत महत्त्वाची आहे, असं नमूद केलं.

बजाज फिनसर्व्हच्या या नव्या कॅम्पसमुळे नव्या कल्पना, कौशल्ये आणि युवा प्रतिभेला मोठ्या संधी मिळतील आणि पुढील शंभर वर्षांचा प्रवास भारताच्या तसंच महाराष्ट्राच्या प्रगतीत अधिक मोलाचं योगदान देणारा ठरेल, अशी मनापासून सदिच्छा व्यक्त केली.

Bajaj Finserv and IIT Bombay sign MoU to strengthen industry–academia collaboration in frontier technologies

Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and IIT Bombay signed a MoU on 27th May 2026, marking the beginning of a strategic industry–academia collaboration focused on research, innovation, talent development and technology translation.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and MD, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and Prof. S. V. Kulkarni, Dean R&D, IIT Bombay in the presence of Prof. Shireesh Kedare, Director, IIT Bombay, Prof. Milind Atrey, Deputy Director (ART), IIT Bombay and senior leadership from both institutions.

The partnership establishes a broad framework for collaboration across multiple domains, bringing together faculty, researchers, students from IIT Bombay with professionals from Bajaj Finserv Ltd.

Joint research opportunities will be explored in frontier technological areas such as AI, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, Retail Experience Center Design and many more.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjiv Bajaj expressed confidence that the collaboration with IIT Bombay would lead to impactful joint research initiatives. Prof. Shireesh Kedare highlighted the importance of deeper industry–academia engagement in translating academic research into real-world applications and achieving scalable societal and industrial impact.

Senior leadership present at the event included Mr. Rajeev Jain, Vice Chairman & MD; Mr. Manish Jain, Deputy CEO; Mr. Anurag Chottani, COO; Mr. Mudit Mehrish, Chief Information Officer and Mr. Saurabh Sharma, SVP – Finserv Intelligence from Bajaj Finance Ltd.

During the event, Prof. Milind Atrey shared his thoughts on IIT Bombay's research, innovation, and translation ecosystem. Faculty members including Prof. G. Sivakumar, Prof. Sunita Sarawagi, Prof. Nishant Sharma, Prof. Hemadri Dhar, Prof. Ganesh Ramachandran and Prof. Upendra Bhandarkar, Dean (ACR) were also present on the occasion.

As an umbrella agreement, the MoU will also facilitate talent acquisition by Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and its group companies, explore industry co-location opportunities on the IIT Bombay campus, support educational outreach and capability-building initiatives.
