option 1 only work if redis is your SOT and you are using postgres as a event ledger. or you just can't show the stale data(its critical) to the users.

--almost always option 3 is better (for use cases like caching) update the SOT (postgres) then invalidate/ change your redis.

sorry, kirat but you were wrong.
option 1 is almost always never chosen
redis is never the SOT clearing it and then updating the postgres is never a good idea..the traffic can flood your db, these is no cache for some time (and it might cache the old data again)
