Up next, we had @ShrinivasNavin speak about his journey and challenges implementing Fissure, a torrent client written in Rust. We discussed the pitfalls and benefits of async I/O in rust, and walked through some code.
@Avinal_ Actually, no! Do u usually find them cheaper?
I have bad taste in my mouth from postpaid internet plans
Back in 2010's we had a postpaid connection, even after requesting for a disconnection they did not process it, 6 months later we were threatened with a legal case.
I am tired of Jio changing plans often to increase their ARPU.
Nothing much I can do there but choose the best option out of available.
Hence I built this :https://t.co/gZAyxLkfUS
Nothing too complicated, simply reads jio's api, parse it, sort it and display it. Written in rust!
I've seen two "tips" boxes in stores in the last 2 days. The tipping culture is entering India and I'm not looking forward to it (at least not on top of service tax).
Furthermore, I hate those places that intentionally hide prices of things or make the menu so crowded that one cannot find the prices (I'm looking at you PVR).
I'd rather not buy anything than buy something without knowing the price.
Had an interview yesterday. Was reallyyy looking forward to that role. Got rejected right after the first round. I can feel the rejection tearing me apart. "Hope" is....something
@_svs_ For me it was Minecraft, learnt a little about networks from playing with friends in the same world in local network
And eventually played enough to get villagers to act like shops, so had to edit world data to set custom value for trades with villagers . Ah those fun days!
