@fharper Incorporate records of communication with other parties into whatever tool or system you're already using to track work. If it's Jira or the like, gotta determine how to handle that info being visible to coworkers. Or use something else maybe?
I spend a lot of time talking to early career folks trying to land a job. I know it's hard. You're doing a lot to keep up, apply, get noticed. This post is about how to use open source to help you on that journey; and if I can help you get started w/ OSS, let me know: https://t.co/hFjnh2sQ2X
@kefimochi Also, I want to echo what I saw others said about taking a breed's temperament into account. That is a major factor to successfully adopting a dog.
Good luck! Adopting a dog is such a rewarding thing to do.
@kefimochi Are you adopting a puppy? From a rescue or humane society? If you have a breed in mind, breed-specific rescues exist but they have the most stringent requirements.
Clicker training feels like magic. I learned best from Kikopup.

@magicianbrain I mean, someone filed a class action lawsuit against Copilot last month for theft of open source code. And I would imagine the reasons are similar to why artists are upset about AI art.

@kefimochi It'd be great if employers were willing to skip the take home assignments, white boarding, etc. if developers were willing to have at least one project of equivalent size on their GitHub and hosted live if feasible which employers could evaluate instead. Skip the nonsense.
@fharper Air travel is way up, so I think they (along with airline workers) are all feeling a lot more taxed than they have for the last couple of years.
@AmyShackles Have your cats spent any time driving that wasn't to go to the vet? Speaking of vets, ask about sedatives or anti-anxiety meds. If you've got room, there are pop up playpens which could be good for letting them have more room and access to litter box & food while driving.
@kefimochi Of course, another thing I'm learning is while staff and principal engineers might not be management track, that doesn't mean they're not their own variety of leadership roles. Owning an entire piece often means shepherding other devs/teams to follow your vision.
@kefimochi What you described sounds like what staff/principal engineers do. Lead is often first step toward the management track while staff and principal are the rungs above senior on the IC track. At least, that's my understanding.
