This is the first picture of a mushroom I ever took and evidently what started my foraging adventures!! Captured are the False Turkey Tail🍄 And they are known for growing in any season. I tend to find them growing off of dead and rotting logs!! #mushrooms #foraging

Introducing a mushroom that was discovered in the 15th century🍄 The Turkey Tail is still very abundant in many forests today and tends to grow throughout fall and winter!!

The delicious Candy Cap mushroom🍄 This fungi grows during mid to late winter and tends to be near hardwoods such as oak or conifer!! #mushrooms #foraging

An incredible white Coral Fungus🍄 This mushroom looks like it should be at the bottom of the ocean but really it’s found on the forest floor!! It’s favorite spot being the conifer tree! #foraging

Meet the Honey Fungus🍄 This beauty was found in NJ but it’s largest known patch is actually located in Oregon!! It’s mycelia network covers 2,400 acres and its over 2,000 years old🤯 #foraging #mushrooms

This species of mushrooms known as the Funeral Bell🍄 is most common around the wood of conifers. Also it should not be eaten as it can lead to liver damage and vomiting⚠️

A couple tiny Common Laccaria foraged in the Adirondacks🍄 These mushrooms tend to change colors based on the conditions they are in but can be very abundant!!
