Happy to share my latest Explainer for @IndianExpress on the AI-led semiconductor “supercycle” and where India fits within it today. The article considers three questions. Read the article here: https://t.co/aoHUxE6U9W
Happy to have organized and participated in this discussion, moderated by @KonarkBhandari. Interesting, good faith, and candid discussions on what it would take for India-Japan cooperation on semiconductors, towards greater resilience. Sincere thank you to @SemiconIndia & JBIC.
Carnegie India hosted a closed-door roundtable on India-Japan Semiconductor Cooperation, bringing together government, industry, and domain experts to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation in semiconductors.
The discussion focused on chemicals, gases and materials, supply chain resilience, economic security cooperation, talent mobility, and technology collaboration.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Amitesh Kumar Sinha, CEO, @SemiconIndia, for delivering the keynote address; to the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), represented by its Chief Representative, Toru Endo, who also serves as Director and Secretary General of the Semiconductor Committee, JCCII; and to Manish Hooda, Director of Technology, ISM, for their insightful and valuable contributions.

It was great to organise, convene, and moderate this discussion @CarnegieIndia on the issues relevant to Japan-India semiconductor cooperation. Lots of discussion regarding the ecosystem for gases/chemicals/materials, and how could the existing roadmaps in India for Japanese firms be strengthened, and leveraged by Indian firms as well. We're grateful to @SemiconIndia and others that participated - JCCII, @ICEA_India@investindia and more, in this timely discussion. Stay tuned for more on this! @shrutimittalci
