The reality of the FDA approval is that the direct to consumer marketing will be even more aggressive. I did read all the nuance in your posts (which I ofc respect) but the grifter companies like function health are not using that nuance when marketing this and full body MRIs to their patients. (See this years Super Bowl ad for example)
You end by saying that “we should not be denying the test to people” except that this test is already not denied to people. People can pay out of pocket for this test currently.
I think the FDA saying this is safe makes sense but “efficacious” is wrong.
I think the one sided celebration comes from the fact that we are doctors AND humans.
All of us have taken care of patients who have missed an anniversary or maybe the birth of a grandkid. We know what extra time
(especially not on chemo) means for patients.
To say long term benefit seems unlikely therefore I’m not comfortable doesn’t seem fair in a disease that hasn’t had an advance in years.
@kerrihabsfan@ShrutiPateil Hi, this account was an imposter account and was selling this under my name. @x has finally taken action to ban the account after months of reporting this account as a fraud.
Will be monitoring for other accounts that might pop up but wanted to let you know!
Finally got our first #pancreaticcancer patient onto #daraxonrasib through @RevMedicines@FDAOncology Expanded Access Program. Turned into an unplanned bring-your-daughter-to-work day to get same-day consent to start therapy. Fingers crossed!
