This week some very brave ⁦@SurbitonHigh⁩ Y9 and Y12 pupils competed in the Greek and Latin reading competition. They all performed with real gusto and brilliant accents and our Y12, Evie, came away with a first prize in Greek Open Solo! Optime!

Skull from the gladiator graveyard of Ephesus. Analysis of the injuries shows the man's head was impaled from above by a trident. The strike was likely delivered execution-style to the kneeling gladiator, after he had lost a bout and proven unsuccessful in any appeal for mercy.
