🐯: My throat isn’t in good condition. Even medically speaking, ever since I was a trainee, doctors have been telling me, “If you keep singing like that, you’re going to lose your voice.” I’ve been hearing that for 10 years now. So, honestly, I avoid going to the hospital because whenever I go, I just hear the same things over and over, and it makes me mentally weaker. I already know that my throat isn’t in good condition.
There’s no way for me to hide that, because apparently the vocal cords are one of those parts of the body that don’t regenerate once they’re injured. That’s something I can’t really help. And if I were to have surgery on my vocal cords, I wouldn’t be able to speak at all for several months, and I simply don’t have that kind of time.

So I’ve decided to just be completely open about it. I tell my fans, “My throat is weak.” There’s no need to sugarcoat it and then have you be disappointed later.
My throat is weak, I crack my voice pretty easily, and things like that happen. But I love singing, so when I’m on stage, whether my voice gives out or not, I’m going to sing with everything I’ve got.

I realized something from what happened last year. Before that, whenever my voice cracked, it was honestly really obvious to me. Even up until last year’s tour, I would completely lose it mentally. I’d be like, “Ah, shit, what do I do…” and I’d start thinking about the CEO and the staff, feeling sorry and worrying about everyone.
But after last year’s tour, while preparing for this year’s tour, I thought back on everything that happened last year. When I thought about why the people who came last year came back again this year, and why we were able to perform at even bigger venues, I realized something.
Of course, having your voice crack is really bad for a singer, and ideally it shouldn’t happen. I’m obviously doing everything I can to prevent it, but sometimes it happens a lot without me even realizing it.

So now I’ve learned how to deal with it. When it happens, instead of worrying about it, I just think, “Fine, let my vocal cords tear themselves apart if they have to,” and I sing with everything I have.
And strangely enough, my voice actually comes out better that way. Even when the concert gets longer, my voice keeps holding up, and I’ve discovered that I can create a stage where the atmosphere in the concert venue gets incredibly hot and I can really move people.
That’s how I’ve been singing now.
