@ewarren So if there’s a smooth enough transition of power to a democratic president in a year and a half…..I mean what’s the plan. The Democratic Party has always spent its time picking up the pieces left over by the previous republican president…and done a mighty good job at it…but??
@kritikakodes DigiLocker will not work for foreigners with OCI that have resident Aadhaar cards because their damn back end team can’t pull the dob from the right field in the aadhar table….and then uidai has no process to update that field for foreigner residents
At 10cr, you can retire in just about anywhere in India comfortably with capital gains from mutual funds conservatively getting you 15LPA take home. This assumes you are the laziest of investors with the lowest risk tolerance.
Just matters what your dreams are…a comfortable retired life in Canada costs 100cr
A comfortable retired life in Monaco costs 10000cr
God damnit the point no one ever listens to is that this is a good move forward for society, and it’s going to require rethinking on the capitalist republic bullshit we’ve all gotten shoved so far up our asses that it’s made it into our brain.
SWE is one function in developing a product, or delivering a white collar service.
If AI could take a single prompt and build a product people would pay for, then they’d be building the same product for everyone that had an idea…and then you wouldn’t be able to afford the AI.
Point is, I think it was Sam Altman himself that said recently that he is genuinely surprised but excited that the number of white collar jobs has actually gone up.
Programming, paperwork, diagnostics…THESE ARE ALL BLUE COLLAR WORK. Good lawyers aren’t going anywhere, good doctors with good people’s skills aren’t going anywhere, marketing, hr, finance professionals aren’t going anywhere, their blue collar work is just being offloaded because it is more efficient than to hire 200 interns for one doctor or one lawyer or one software engineer.
@FirozCodes I’ve found Twitter to be useless in actually building any sort of cohesive community. Sure there are a lot of people interested in tech but it’s a lot of people spewing random nonsense and asking sycophantic questions.
Reddit FTW here.
