Livelihood is equally important as life. We are seeing the current scenario of migrant labourers. Most of them are dying of hunger and heat rather than COVID. Govt is helping one hand at the expense of cutting another that is our career.

I cannot understand why the govt. are coverting top-tier eng. institutions like MANIT to hospitals.There exists hundreds of other options. Vacations will be over soon and placements, internships of 4000+ students will be at danger. #NITbhopalquarantined #saveourcareer

MANIT also has residential staff quarters and houses more than 1000 staffs and their family members including small kids and elderly people. Quarantine centre will put their thousands of families at the risk of COVID

Qurantine centres must be located in outskirts of the city. Govt. has huge no. of govt. schools, rest-houses, etc. But just to save money in installation of few amenities they are converting State's one of the best engineering college to a house of viruses.

@AgarwalAtik Authorities didn't specified the time till which manit is converted to Qurantine centres. If problem persisted for long, the careers of 4000+ students and placements of MANIT will be at stake.

Many students, including me have left their important documents in our hostels. Some even left their laptops and other valuable things in their room. We know our administration very well. We know very well how they will treat our belongings

Conversion of MANIT to quarantine centre looks an easy solution. But it will create another huge problem. Career of 4000+ students will be at stake. There are other options to combat COVID-19.

Situations are tough, but acquisition of student residential hostels of NIT-Bhopal as quarantine centres is not at all justified. There are a total of 83,945 primary schools, 30,417 middle schools, 3,825 high schools and 4,733 higher secondary schools run by the government in MP
