Farming in the UK since the 1940's
1940s
Public/Government - We need more food. Produce more
Farming - well we could become more intensive in production?
P/Gvt - Yes!! Do that.
The government's inheritance tax changes will affect more than 75% of English and Scottish farms of 50 hectares in size or more, new AHDB analysis warns.
It shows that 42,204 out of 54,938 farms – around 76.8% – will be impacted.

Ok people, enough of Farago. Here's why I hate him. Eight years ago I could travel in Europe passport free, I could live in any country and work in any country and stay as long as I liked. Now I cannot. I can stay only three months in all of Europe. He effectively burned my passport. For that I will never forgive him.
Not all Farmers swallowed your fairy stories you insidious little fraud. Let John Emerson's words ring in your ears... "We went to bed as Great Britain, we woke up as Little Britain".
Remarkable to hear Braverman say multiculturalism has failed. She's a British Home Secretary descended from Goan Indians from Mauritius and Kenya, married to a Jewish husband, in a government headed by Britain's first Hindu PM. What would successful multiculturalism look like?
By any definition, 'net zero' is, quite literally, the polar opposite of an 'arbitrary target'. The way she is permitted to oscillate daily between cruelty and stupidity is simultaneously stunning and, in Brexit Britain, absolutely standard.
Remember, there is still only a very small percentage of weird, delusional, paranoid, nasty freaks in the world. It's just that they're all on Twitter😂 I just went for a long walk and everyone was lovely. Enjoy life and don't let miserable people get you down. Here's a cat.
Britain can’t afford to continue #Brexit!
We are trapped in worst of all worlds of an unlevel playing field with no import checks but weighty and expensive export checks.
Low standard products undercut British food and are big threat to public health.

‼️ Economists confirm that Brexit has ended the era of cheap food.
‼️Brexit Britain 🇬🇧 are paying more for food, which is increasingly imported and of lower standards which harms health, environment and animals.
Just what we predicted!

It is this simple.
Just arrived home & see the #Bairstow incident.Totally agree Hoggy he put his foot back in and held it a sec to respect the WK and that’s all it takes as respect.23 years as WK that all it takes from a batter a little foot hold. Poor it’s not the spirit of the game. #Ashes2023
@Stick_Beetle The bazball bandwagon has quickly morphed from playing aggressive cricket given the opportunity to all guns blazing all the time. If you can't hold catches most other things irrelevant.
Brexit is now, in a majority of voters minds, linked with high interest rates, trade friction, travel friction and general incompetence. The reality may be more complex, but that doesn’t matter - it’s about perception, and the perception is that Brexit is not only a failure but a liability. And there is more pain to come. This is why in my view, coupled with demographic change, it is inevitable that we will soon begin the process of rejoining the single market and customs union no matter what Labour or the Conservatives say at the next election. This irresistible pressure will probably split the Conservative Party, which is ironic because Cameron’s only strategic aim in calling the referendum in the first place was to placate fringe elements of the Party.
