and FUCK the sk military. it was OBVIOUS from the very beginning that he was being used for his fame, that doesn't change the fact that he posted about it on weverse to see carats, but it WAS and IS clear that they also did it to draw a larger audience than they would have had without hoshi's involvement.
he has always been healthy, he's been an idol for 11 YEARS for fucks sake, and the most "serious" injury he'd faced was a dislocated shoulder in 2018, yet now, with just 184 days left until his military discharge, he has suffered one of the worst injuries imaginable for an idol and athlete.
suddenly remembered hoshi getting treatment for his knee during the performance on sept 8… and now today, we got the news from him that he’s injured and was diagnosed with a complete acl tearㅠㅠㅠ 😢😢😢 my heart hurts so muchㅠㅠ hoshi, i really hope you recover well. please get plenty of rest and take all the time you need to fully recover. don’t worry about anything else, just focus on getting betterㅠㅠㅠ 😭😭
op explained what happened and will happen because of the injury 🥺
what happened? > they say he tore a ligament in his knee.
is it serious? > yeah. if something like this happens during military service, they can medically discharge you if the injury is severe enough that you can’t perform your military duties.
does that mean he can’t use his knee? > it’s like what happened with scoups. if he gets the surgery and does his rehab properly, he can recover. usually, recovery after surgery takes around a year and a half.
additionally, op said normally he would be sent to a hospital, have his condition assessed and undergo surgery, and then a military doctor would determine his medical-discharge classification. once everything is approved, he can be discharged. the administrative process usually takes around 1–3 months, although the timing can vary depending on his treatment and circumstances. but because a complete knee ligament tear requiring surgery is a serious injury, he won't be able to continue serving for the rest of his military term. [but they said this might not be 100% accurate since they’re not an expert, however this can most likely happen]
omg hoshi got an anterior cruciate ligament (acl) rupture 😭
he’ll be undergoing surgery and will have to focus on his recovery for a while which means he won’t be able to participate in the upcoming events :(
please recover well, hoshi 🥹❤️🩹

🐯: hello, carats.
i'm writing this message carefully, as the news might come as a bit of a surprise.
i injured my knee while practicing with the ground forces performance team, after undergoing an examination, i was diagnosed with a complete tear of my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
because of this, i'll need to focus on recovery following surgery, so i'll no longer be able to participate in the scheduled taekwondo demonstration team events or the ground forces festival.
i had prepared hard for these performances, as i was truly looking forward to them, so it is deeply disappointing that i cannot join in, and i feel very sorry to the carats who were waiting for them.
although i won't be able to participate, i hope you'll show plenty of support for the taekwondo demonstration team and the ground forces performance team, that jihoon is part of.
I’ll make sure to receive proper treatment and focus on my recovery so i can return in good health as soon as possible.
please don't worry too much!
