@YouTubeLiaison YouTube ratings of👍&👎work quite well, but what we really need is a 💩 rating specifically for calling B.S. on videos that run counter to reality/facts.
Preventing it from being weaponized by trolls would be a challenge, though.
@Pancreassassin I only got my Celiac diagnoses after I started breaking bones.
I had severe osteoporosis that was caused by Celiac.
I was one of those asymptomatic folks, so the broken bones were the only reason that I got tested.
It's really strange to be grateful for broken legs.
@Yragenorc @Kidfears99 Companies that make insulin deserve a fair profit, which they can do at $30 per vial like it's priced elsewhere (like Canada).
But price gouging is apparently legal in America.
If those famous blue pills were 10x overpriced, like insulin, Congress would have a meltdown.
@kokhongw@WhiteHouse The type of diabetes you're being insensitive about (T2) is the type that's least likely to require insulin to survive.
Eating and lifestyle have nothing to do with the other types of diabetes unless you count pregnancy as a lifestyle choice (gestational diabetes).
@DiaryofaSickGrl Folks get glassy eyed before I make it halfway down the list, so I lightheartedly abbreviate with group names from the animal kingdom.
A clowder of illnesses
A murder of diseases
A swarm of symptoms
Yeah, I'm weird... but that's hard to tax, so I'm keeping it.
@sandyinsomerset @RenzaS When I see a social media post about cinnamon curing diabetes, I can't help but imagine it really confusing a stripper.
Yeah, I know. I'll show myself out.
@CookingAlDante That sounds reasonable.
So you may have just violated Twitter terms of service. 😄
(per anecdotal evidence)
Added nutrition sounds great, but self-preservation has given me a "guilty until proven innocent" mindset where food is concerned.
a.k.a. paranoia
