It feels sad that people are twisting the Gospel narrative to their own preference. Yes, God calls us to speak for the oppressed, but we are also called to love the disagreeable.

God is for everyone.

Jesus came not to free us from political oppression. He came to save us from eternal damnation.

That does not mean He doesn't hear our cries for injustice. He does, and He will make them accountable in His own, righftul time.

It’s okay not to act as if everything is fine if it isn’t. It’s okay to fall apart. It’s okay to be angry. If you need to cry… CRY. Those emotions are healthy. It means you fought for something you highly valued. In the process, trust that God will put you back together.

Never, ever compromise your relationships for the sake of standing for what you believe is just and right. These leaders are only meant to serve for a couple of years, but relationships are designed to last for a lifetime.

There are other healthy and productive means to discuss your beliefs with other people. You need not to prompt dissension and employ insults to stress your point. Let us opt for meaningful discourse, not division.
