at some point, you really have to tell yourself "this isn't an experience i want to keep having" and stop entertaining things that don't benefit you in any way
thinking about how in my early 20s i used to look at 27-28 year olds and think wow adults who have their shit together and now im almost the same age but my only thought is WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING
Women should not be expected to give up their surnames after marriage. In fact, it makes more sense for children to carry their mother’s surname. While a father contributes 50% of the genetic material, the mother carries nearly all of the physical, emotional, and medical labor of pregnancy, childbirth, and early survival. The child’s life comes from the mother’s body. Her health, hormones, sacrifices, and risks shape that life.
It is reasonable that the person who creates, carries, gives birth to, and often raises the child should have her name carried forward. A husband’s surname is not inherently more “family” than a wife’s. This tradition is rooted in patriarchy, where men are treated as lineage holders and women as vessels. We do not have to keep repeating it.
how it feels clocking into my 9 to 5 while an elite group of billionaires eat, murder, rape, and torture children everyday and control absolutely everything while facing zero consequences.
I feel like the "Jeffrey Epstein" that been built up over the years across our internet zeitgeist with jokes and memes has kinda numbed people to the fact this was a real man who was actively trafficking and raping children of all ages, for decades.
