@rcolvile The instinct should be to request additional resources if required not block much needed 1,600 homes near good transport links, especially when growth is this imperative. I hope the plans go ahead.
@rcolvile Yep, we already receiving the best deal possible under Trump’s tariff framework. To go down from 10% would either mean the baseline no longer holds. Australia has a trade deficit with the US and still got hit with the 10%.
@pursuitofprog Double down on Free Trade. No retaliatory tariffs. Tariffs are nearly always bad, even if we were tariffed first. Sign as many free trade agreements as possible, liberalise overburdening regs.
@si_rubinstein Literally the only party that even speaks positively about house building. Lib Dem’s and Greens are just left-NIMBYs | Conservatives & Reform boomer-NIMBYs
@AdamWagner1 Hermer is relying is putting a non-binding judgment written by Russian and Chinese judges over our direct national and gassing explicit wishes of Chagosian people. What would you call that…
@db_fink What is the appeal of a sum of money you can only spend when your 65? Surely money is better to have/spend in your 20s? What is the appeal of a job w/ this much of total comp. inaccessible until your 60s?
@AaronBastani Problem with the Green Party is that they’re neither Green (oppose every home, renewable & train building plan) or a Party (they don’t whip votes).
@aswren If this had happened anywhere else, then ppl would assume Kier Starmer had been bribed. I honestly wish that was the case, at least that’d be more rational than what’s going on now.
