I'm removing checkboxes that save instantly and replacing them with proper toggles.
I used to mix both patterns, and it created this subtle inconsistency: some things saved on click, others didn't.
Now I'm being strict about it:
Checkboxes = forms you submit
Toggles = actions that happen immediately
@0xblacklight > great design
Bro, it has the same ugly design as 99% of Web APIs. You have Response.json, but no Request.json. await await everything. 50% of the options are just footguns, even in a browser.
The good news is that axios has the same garbage design, so I prefer fetch nowadays
browsers mostly skip updating hover state while you scroll
so I made super-hover, a tiny utility library that checks what's under your cursor every frame!
`pnpm add super-hover`
It's just insane what you can do with unlimited money and authoritarian power.
🇸🇦 The Saudis got bored with Jeddah being a congested Middle Eastern shithole, so they just demolished the city center in 2022. Just like that.

A good organizer knows how to delegate tasks to others; a bad one doesn't, and does everything themselves. This applies to everything, including programming and dependency management
18 years ago today, Google co-founder Sergey Brin gave a rare Russian-language interview to NTV in Moscow.
Brin spoke about the future of the internet, mobile devices, Web 2.0, spam, and dismissed the idea that people would one day need “internet passports” to access the web.
Dmitry Medvedev had been inaugurated as Russia's new president just 10 days earlier.
