I am deeply appalled and angry to see “Firework” used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes. I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it.

I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments. To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for.

My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare.

I am on all the drugs post surgery. Here is some truth for the modern, entitled Trans movement.

Most women are kind of low-level delighted and amused by feminine boys that want to be girls. Yeah, they think we’re kind of weird, but if your vibes are “I’m super eager to learn, please include me,” versus “I am a political extremist that does not give a flying fuck about your feelings or safety,” 99 percent will be kind.

The problem is the modern Trans movement doesn’t talk to actual women. They talk to each other. And in the worst, male-coded spaces imaginable. Discord, 4chan, threads. So, the vibes are not about coexisting and learning. It’s about conquering and changing language, and ignoring women’s safety.

What would we be without actual women? What would we pattern our lives after? Who would we learn from?

When you ask why our relationship has changed in the last 10 years, yes, the hateful TERF movement has a lot to do with it. But it’s also true that our actions have alienated people that used to support us.

@BriannaWu That endocrine homeostasis aspect has long fascinated me. Yes, mtf HRT essentially is toxic to most cis men. Yet for trans women, it is harmonizing. Likewise (though perhaps less pronouncedly) of ftm HRT for trans men versus most cis women.
