Relocation and play off the puck 🙌. Under taught at almost every level but should be a primary focus in order to help players understand the game at a deeper level and how it can leverage play in a positive way in every facet of the game. Breakouts, transition, oz play, etc etc
Great OZ movement by DET to wear down TOR defenders and Kane being the savvy vet that he is, moving to open ice and hitting his mark at the perfect moment for the goal. Great relocation clip for all players to understand timing and play off the puck!
I see a lot of defenseman out there who are comfortable sitting back on the blueline but this clip highlights the benefits of staying in motion and playing down, on top of the play. Great stuff from Sanheim and Zamula here.

Some great OZ clips from last night, highlighting plays on the backwall. Pre-touch scanning, self bumps, protecting the line to the puck and quick plays to teammates arriving into space. Great for fwds but equally as important to show defenseman when breaking the puck out! 👍🏻
Great SS dot support from VGK61. The weak side forward overcommits which opens a lane to the WSD and plenty of space. Best part is VGK3 attacking downhill on first touch with the puck loaded in the hip pocket. Forces the TB Fwd to lay out, opening the change of angle release👌🏻

"Just go out there, have fun & compete & play my game. I think coming off the summer, you want to shake the rust off early."
#Oilers prospect Matt Savoie chatted with the media about what a successful Young Stars Classic looks like for him.

Great weekend for our Jr/U18 D-Camp. My focus with this camp was to peel back the layers, keep it simple and help them to be efficient. We did this by prioritizing first touch, straight line pivots in all three zones and under handling the puck by using their feet and loading it.
Stay tuned for our 2024-25 Winter Programming as we have some exciting new pilot projects for the 2012/2013 birth years and all the adult hockey players out there!
