Here in the Maldives, we remain resolute to guarantee free, independent, and responsible media. I wish to use this occasion to commend journalists worldwide for their tenacity and courage to produce valid and reliable reports consistently. Their efforts go a long way in ensuring the health of our democratic societies, safeguarding human dignity and promoting justice.
