Now despite the failure of negotiations, Iran will still not continue their attacks, until it gets attacked first, even if Israel obliterates Lebanon, they'll only resume their attacks only when Iran gets attacked.

Iran halted it's attack on Israel because of the intervention of Pakistan.
What Iran doesn't understand is that the Pakistani government operates under significant influence from the United States, so by accepting Pakistan’s request, Iran have been aligning with U.S. interests.
