On Lekki, got into what i call a lil pot - Hole that resulted to my Tire torn so badly. Had to manage the car till i got to 1004. Parked and got my spare tire out.

Before i could say Jack, HOODLUMS about 9 came out from no where 😂 asking for funds. One was chilled enough to get a vulcanizer. The rest were just about money.

One said, he knows my face. He has seen me with Burna Boy. One looking so rugged tried to raise his voice, the Ajebor in me left immediately and i activated the calabar south boy (eyen ekpo) in me.

They started begging i give them 150k 😂. I sent 50k to them and actually told them to get lost.

I'll say something that won't sit well with many of you.

I didn't see much help as a struggling guy, like now that I'm not struggling.

I have not been seeking help, but people have been stretching hands, genuinely.

During my construction project, people brought bags of cement without asking them.

People asked for my account number, and I refused...

They came to my store to take the account numbers, sent money into them, and shared receipts.

People told me to message them, I refused, but they came, opened their apps in front of me, and pressed me money.

It might feel hard.

But wriggle your way up.

There's much more help at the upper level compared the ground level.

Hustle your way up.

I'm telling you this from the deepest part of my heart.

And it is one of the Ironies of life.

People who don't need help get more help than people who actually need help.

1. A friend came to stay the weekend with us at Doctors’ Quarters in UNIBEN in 1988. We didn't know he was allergic to eggs, and someone used the same oil that had been used to fry eggs to fry plantains. He ate the plantains and started immediately looking like the Michelin Man. Our landlord (a doctor) saved him with Hydrocortisone.

2. My youngest sister came to Accra for a visit and decided to do her hair. Some overzealous hairdresser decided she needed to dye her hair. The dye touched her scalp and she lost most of her hair while her head swelled double. She ended up in hospital for days.

3. I ate some fried meat balls in Togo in 2021 and went into shock. I recovered in hospital 8 hours later. Ended up in Accra and in hospital for a week. I don't eat processed meat till today.

4. Also me, earlier this year. I ate too much groundnuts and had a swollen neck. Ended up in hospital with complications including anaemia.

People die of allergies in Africa regularly and they call it “witchcraft.”

Every day you wake up, $137 landed in your account. You didn’t touch your principal. You didn’t lift a finger, and if that 5% compounds daily, you’re closer to $51,200 a year, the money starts making money on the money.

So before you spend a single dollar or naira, ask yourself one question: can this purchase pay for itself from the interest alone? If yes, you’ve earned it. If no, you’re eating your seed.

Anyone can GET money. Keeping it is a different skill entirely and it starts with the discipline to sit still while everyone expects you to splurge.

When my DAD lost his job, My MUM changed, she nagged, comes home late and made us believe he was abus!ve 😢

Even when he corrected my SISTERS for dressing indecently, she turned it into a fight and made us join her to insult him.

Now that I'm married, I see things differently. My MUM was controlling and unfaithful, and my DAD was just a Broken MAN trying his BEST. He is gone now, and I will never get the chance to say sorry. 💔😢

In 1961, something unheard of before happened.

A Russian surgeon who was stationed at the military base in Antarctica had appendicitis.

He was the only Doctor and surgery was the only solution.
Due to the harsh weather at that time, he could not be evacuated.

His name was Leonid Rogonov, he was 27 years.
He instructed the non medics in camp to bring a mirror and light sources.

He injected himself, he opened his belly, put his hand to locate his intestines himself. Used the mirror to located the appendix.
He cut the appendix and sewed himself back together.

This operation lasted 2 hours, it was successful. He took time off to rest and in 2 weeks he was perfectly fine and back to work.

He later died 39 years later of Cancer of the lungs at 66 years.
