Senator Robin Padilla said the planned film depicting the life of Rene Baterbonia will continue despite what he described as financial pressure and the politicization of the entertainment industry.

In a Facebook post, Padilla said he remains committed to telling Baterbonia’s story through film, adding that director BB Gandanghari and filmmakers from Mindanao are already prepared for the project.

“Hindi po tayo bumibitaw sa paglalahad sa pamamagitan ng pelikula ang buhay ni Rene Baterbonia,” Padilla said.
